X_CHANGE – YAU International Urban Exchange Program
X_CHANGE – YAU International Urban Exchange Program is a short-term residency program held at YAU STUDIO in Yurakucho, inviting artists and researchers from overseas to conduct research, production, and presentations on the theme of “survey and expression of the city.” Artists and researchers with various backgrounds and expertise, based in cities around the world, share perspectives and ideas through exchange, aiming to create international creative collaborations rich in insights on the role of art and the nature of cities in contemporary society. In March 2024, as the first installment of the X_CHANGE program, a residency and production were conducted with Dutch artist Romina Koopman. During the YAU OPEN STUDIO period, exhibitions of research outcomes and talk events were held.
