TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH is an artist collective with the mission of “Multifaceted Urban Research,” “Pragmatic Exploration of Contemporary Photography,” and “Developmental Research on Photographic Culture,” to visualize the city, society, and people as yet unseen, and to pass on the visions discovered to the future. Since its establishment in 2018, they have been developing multifaceted activities through organic and horizontal collaboration with people widely involved in photographic and visual expression, including art and research projects, collaborative projects and commission work with companies and governments, international cultural exchange, educational programs and research groups.
