TOKYO CITY CANVAS
IMAGINATIVE GARDENS
TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH is pleased to present “IMAGINATIVE GARDENS,” a collection of works by three emerging artists for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s cultural project, “TOKYO CITY CANVAS,” which transforms construction fences and other urban surfaces into art canvases. These new pieces by Hideki Umezawa, Akihiko Taniguchi, and Kanade Hamamoto were inspired by their research on Yoyogi Park’s past and present, combining ground-level and aerial perspectives, and focusing on the park’s plants and water features. Come and experience this unique vision of an urban garden.
