TSUKIYAMA SHOTA
TOKYO TORCH
Light and shadow exist everywhere in this world.
When I stepped into the Torch Tower construction site, I found myself in a strange and captivating space—where beams of light pierced through areas covered in shadow.
Surrounded by construction machinery of a scale I had never seen before, I felt a sense of exhilaration.
I focused on the interplay of light and shadow within this extraordinary environment as I approached the shoot.
This very site—where Japan’s tallest building is now being constructed—is currently enclosed by surrounding buildings, shielded from view.
The light and shadows falling across this place today will disappear in just a few years.
What I saw in front of me—the light, the shadow—existed only in that fleeting moment.
