HAMAMOTO KANADE
MINATO MIRAI
This city blends the sea and nature with both modern, developed areas and streets that reflect a sense of history.
I was drawn to the way these elements mix, creating a blurred boundary between them.
The city’s appearance changes depending on the place and time of day.
People walk and talk along paths surrounded by nature.
Children run around freely.
Compared to other places, time here seems to move just a little more slowly.
I captured scenes from this city and reconstructed them by pasting photographs on the wall.
Through collage, I hope viewers can feel the version of “Minato Mirai” that I experienced.
