Memories rest peacefully in the soil.
The layers of earth beneath our feet, extending deep into the ground, store vast histories of ancient environmental changes and cultures, and they are also where nearly all living things eventually return. Although past landscapes are invisible, by using a special process to treat AI-generated images as “photographic memories”, this work seeks to return the land’s memories and scenery back to the soil.
