Life in the Moonlight
It was my first time on Sarushima, and what left the strongest impression was walking through total darkness guided only by the light of the moon. A kind of light that we often overlook—so faint that faces and paths appear blurred and indistinct—lingered in my memory.
It felt as if, when night arrives, the life forms that stayed quiet during the day begin to awaken slowly. I imagined the specimens at the natural history museum stirring gently in the moonlight, like a dream coming to life.
To “see” the photographs and specimens captured in the images felt like giving them back a kind of vitality—a language of their own. The images seemed to lift off the surface, merging with the moonlight itself.
