HAMAMOTO KANADE
ー・・
Near the end of World War II, special training was conducted at the Nobi Coast, and the diaries of the young men who dove into the sea every day during the training recorded the sounds and scenery of summer in Yokosuka. This summer, I followed in their footsteps, conducting filming and field recordings. I received the Morse code signals they sent from the seafloor to the surface during their training, and I created a work that responds to them from the present day in 2024.
