I photograph the surface of skateboard parks that were originally bathing resorts, as if I could taste them. While thinking about the memories city people have of a bathing resort, and thinking about the history of young people who skateboarded in a pool in California that was empty of water because of the drought. In this installation, which has been developed as if the relationship between memory and history, real images and virtual images, and body and space were piled one on top of the other, it is my aim to translate (or perhaps mistranslate) the activity that has become a custom at a place called “the pool.”
